We're Taking A Stand for Swift Foxes!

This special fundraising project is being completed through the Earth Rangers ER Teens program.

Teens across Canada are working together to support the identification and assessment of Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs) in Saskatchewan by Wildlife Conservation Society Canada. Saskatchewan is currently home to eight KBAs, but there are dozens of additional candidate sites across the province. Many of these are grasslands; one of the most endangered ecosystems on Earth, and crucial habitat for swift foxes. Canada’s grasslands continue to disappear due to human development and climate change, so It is essential to identify, map, monitor and conserve them as quickly as possible. Peter Soryoe is WCS Canada’s KBA Assessment and Outreach Coordinator, working to support both research and communications for the Canada KBA program, and raise awareness about this crucial habitat for swift foxes.

Donations to this page are a result of the incredible fundraising efforts by ER Teens participants. While fundraising from their own communities, teens are working together as a community towards a common goal.
