Start a fundraiser to help River Otters!
The money you raise will support the protection and restoration of Ontario’s Frontenac Arch; an ancient granite bridge with rugged, rocky slopes, thick green forests, and beautiful wetland valleys. The Frontenac Arch’s Blue Lake area is important habitat for river otters; unfortunately, it is also threatened by the rapid spread of invasive plants.

About the research
The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is working to improve river otter habitat in the Frontenac Arch’s Blue Lake area, including the removal of invasive Phragmites (European Common Reed). Year-round efforts by NCC’s conservation team aim to restore the site’s natural areas and to gather as much data as they can about the ecosystem through species inventory and monitoring, which will inform ongoing site management plans.
