We're Taking a Stand for River Otters!

This special fundraising project is being completed through the Earth Rangers ER Teens program.

Teens across Canada are working together to support the Nature Conservancy of Canada and their work protecting Ontario’s Frontenac Arch – an ancient granite bridge with rugged, rocky slopes, thick green forests, and beautiful wetland valleys. The Blue Lake area is an important habitat within the Frontenac Arch, home to river otters; but is threatened by the rapid spread of invasive plants like European Common Reed. Year-round efforts led by Megan Quinn, Coordinator for Conservation Biology, ad her team aim to restore the site’s natural areas and to gather as much data as they can about the ecosystem through species inventory and monitoring, which will inform ongoing site management plans.

Donations to this page are a result of the incredible fundraising efforts by ER Teens participants. While fundraising from their own communities, teens are working together as a community towards a common goal.
